SketchUp and DDR5 ram
-
Has anyone encountered any issues with SketchUp and DDR5 ram? I have a new build that has been crashing constantly: Intel i9 14900K, 32Gb DDR5 ram, Nvidia GeForce 4090 GPU. It does everything super fast including crashing while running SketchUp and particularly rendering in SU Podium, but also running animations.
The shop has changed all of the parts without any improvement, and recently had another DDR5 machine come in with similar issues.

@deanbuckeridge sounds like software/faulty file problem. Try more 'normal' solution like vantage or twinmotion

@deanbuckeridge said in SketchUp and DDR5 ram:
I have a new build that has been crashing constantly
What does this mean more precisely? Your whole system is constantly crashing or your constantly crashing when using SketchUp 2023 and rendering using Podium
If its the latter and its unique to using Podium then I'd reach out to them because as a license holder you should report it.

@deanbuckeridge None at all. I currently have a Dell XPS 8950 (i9-12900K) with 64 gb of DDR5 and RTX 3080 and SU Pro 23 is rock solid. Windows 11 Pro 22H2 OS. Sorry to hear that you are having problems.

@Rich-O-Brien Sometimes SketchUp was crashing, sometimes SU Podium crashed, and sometimes windows crashed. Shop sorted the problem by changing the motherboard, they said that there was an incompatibility that they couldn't find. Since I've had it back it's had PodiumxRT go down once, but ShetchUp stayed running.
