      Hi all,

I've had to reinstall Windows completely due to a hardware failure and subsequently reinstalled SketchUp as well over the last few years. I thought that since it was the same licensed copy of SketchUp on my same computer that the licenses to my plugins would stay the same, but when I reactivated the licenses I noticed that I've taken up another new seat.

How can I release the old seats that I no longer have access to the old Sketchup for? I just see a box beside the latest activations that I could release on the web page My Licences and under the Global status dialog box> details, it only shows my last activations. I don't know how to release my original activations. In fact I'd just like to release everything and start from scratch please.

      TIA.

Please make sure your devices are using Sketchucation Tools 4.3.1 and you can manage your seats at https://sketchucation.com/webshop/my-licences.php

Thank you very much for doing this for me. I notice that I can release the licenses now from within only the SketchUp that's registered now (I must have registered in older versions of SU and uninstalled them after upgrading over time).

So when I upgrade to the new version of SketchUp, I should release all the old licenses in the older SketchUp first and then re-activate in the new version of SketchUp?

You can manage seats at https://sketchucation.com/webshop/my-licences.php so there's no need to release at the device.

The licenses are agnostic to SketchUp version so upgrading doesn't consume a seat. It is device related. So hardware failure would be a reason where you consume a seat on the same device if the hardware ID changes.

But making sure ALL device run Sketchucation Tools 4.3.1+ will mean even when there is hardware failure you can still release the locked seat at https://sketchucation.com/webshop/my-licences.php

The reason you couldn't release seats on older activations is because the version of Sketchucation Tools you activated the license with did not have online seat management. It is important that all devices use Sketchucation Tools 4.3.1

I'm in the same situation, I reinstalled Windows and didn't release the licenses before. Maybe I had an old version of skechucation since now I can only see assigned licenses, but I can't release them.
Is there any way I can regain access to those licenses? Thanks,
