SketchUp Model Tray disappears on mac
-
I am having a problem in LayOut, where when I open my SketchUp model tray, the top of it is hidden beyond the edges of my screen, so I can't get to the top of it to minimise it or to move it elsewhere. The only way round it seems to be quitting LayOut altogether and sometimes that fixes it. Is there a way to stop this happening?
Please see image attached.

Are you talking about the SketchUp Model Panel in the tray?

No, the entire tray. The actual tray itself is tucked up above the top of the screen. I tried to share a screenshot here but it hasn't worked. How do I share a screenshot?

Your screenshot indicates the SketchUp Model inspector panel. The tray includes allof the other inspector panels.
So a couple of things you can try. Least invasive: go to the Window menu and untick SketchUp Model. Save the LayOut file you have open and quit LayOut completely. Restart it and re-enable the SketchUp Model panel.
If that doesn't work, quite LayOut and go to ~/Library/Application Support/SketchUp/SketchUp 2023/LayOut and delete LayOutPrivate.json. Then restart LayOut.

The first thing you have suggested works; but I already do that every time it happens, so I was looking for a more permanent solution. I will try the second suggestion and see if that stops it; thank you.

Are you running LayOut from the .dmg file or did you actually install it in Applications?
The second option I gave you should force LayOut to rewrite the location of the SketchUp Model panel next time you open LayOut and save a project. If LayOut was properly installed, that is.
