Unwanted diagonal lines

When working on a project, I often get unwanted diagonal lines littering my drawing. How do I prevent this.

You have pulled or moved a line, lines or juncture and moved it so the geometry of a rectangular surface is forced to triangulate in order to keep maintain a surface. Basically you just have to be more carefull. If it hapens again just go back a few steps until those line dissapear (crtk+Z)

It looks like you imported the model from 3d mesh modelling program. If you didnt then maybe you are not drawing the sketch on a plane?
