"you can continue to use sketchup but you will not be allowed to start a new file or open an existing file".

I am having to restart Sketchup to move to a new file which is a pain, any suggestions?

I did try the log out and then back in trick but nothing so far.

        Never mind.

Repeat enough times and it does work. Log out and log back in that is.

according to Trimble this issue ("auth. token") caused by a security update of the license servers should be fixed in the meanwhile.

If nothing helps, deleting the SketchUp "login_session.dat" file should resolve the problem.

the login problem ("auth. token cannot be used") might not be solved for everybody by logging out/in but sometimes requires what I've elaborated above.

The proper way would btw not simply logging out/in but closing SU/LO inbetween.

                  This worked for me.
