        If you only want to indicate that it's a screw and real screw threads are not important, just use a texture. It won't bloat the model file with unneeded geometry like your "screw" does. It'll be faster have less impact on file size, and do the job just as well.

          Yes indeed it is another interesting solution than applying a texture, but the rendering is less pretty. The goal here is to make a screw very similar to reality, without drawing spirals.
          Everyone will choose their solution according to what they want as a result.
          There are others like achieving a revolution ...
