Hello! Im searching for someone who can make me a plugin, of course I'll pay for that.

What I need is to export in a csv file all the materials used in the model. The same ones that shows on the "In model" list. Thats it. Just the names, no need for area etc.

        Sounds like a simple job...
Do you want the materials loaded into the model, OR the used materials in the model ?
        Different things...
How do you want the materials listed ?
        e.g. by 'display_name' or something else ?
        You don't want areas etc.
What will you use the list for ?
CSV file seems unnecessarily complicated - a simple text file as a list might suffice ?
Do you want this list 'sorting' alphanumerically ?

Wow, TIG himself answering me, you're a legend dude haha. The rbz you sent is exactly what I needed! Answering what you asked:

How do you want the materials listed ?
            e.g. by 'display_name' or something else ?
            You don't want areas etc.

The way you listed is perfect, pretty simple and straight forward. Is it possible to list by the area? For example, material A is used in 1sqm, material B in 2sqm and material C in 0,5sqm. So the list is:

            B
            A
            C

What will you use the list for ?
Basically I need to know wich materials I used in each model, to organize them.

CSV file seems unnecessarily complicated - a simple text file as a list might suffice ?
xlxs like you did is perfect.

Do you want this list 'sorting' alphanumerically ?
            No need.

EDIT: How can I pay you?

You could open material browser and set it in a ListView (sorted alphabetically BTW), do you really need a plugin specifically for this?

@TIG, What indeed would be super useful is to get a grid of tiles (say 100x100 cm) with material samples taken from selection, (or, as alternative- globally). the tiles should be accompanied by text(see attached) indicating the material name. The goal is to use TT's material replacer plugin afterward to purge parasitic materials with a parent one (i.e. glass<1>, glass<2>.. will be replaced with glass).

This is what I do manuallybefore exporting models further to other DCC's.
NB! It's important to have an option to output from selection.
