Grunge samples in Raylectron
-
Here are just a few, very few, examples of grunge and weathering in Raylectron from its stock materials.
No post or modification to the material. Just quick select and apply, "as is".
Bump, reflection, scale, angle and color can all be changed in the program.

I like these samples. Almost all of them are pretty awesome. I guess I should check out your portfolio as well! Keep up the good work!

...Gut! and completely independent of/from(??? which word is orrect?!? ) the rendering result - it is very instructive to play through such variations!

Maybe you can work this in somewhere... https://3dwarehouse.sketchup.com/model/c9bc3644-4e71-49c4-84b3-6d755bee9db8/Quadro-K7-Nirvana-Galeria9-por-franco-Mathson

Is it grunge rock you want? Grunge rock we got! (again this is why I like Raylectron. The stock materials alone are worth it)

Hi Bryan I must download the new version of Raylectron as have a new computer and lost my older version Was not even aware of Grunge in Raylectron so thanks for posting Am pretty sure the grunge is scaled way too small though as the "Texture" is scaled way too small as evidenced by the visable tilling. Is there a function of translucency for the grunge? I wouls expect so,

Do you add the grunge on over another texture? Two textures on the surface (in Ray Electron)?

It actually replaces the selected texture.
Say your texture is a plain color like blue (or ANY texture you have chosen in SketchUp). You select that color in the materiel editor and then chose from the library (cloud actually) and it replaces blue with the new texture.
The material editor will always label the texture as "Blue" (or whatever it was originally called in SU) but shows you the new texture you have replaced it with.

There are scaling, transparency, shift, rotation, bump, reflection, shine, diffusion, color, and refraction settings for every single texture.
The texture library often has those preset, but you can change any time you like.
If you have Nrml Map, you can use that too! Texture as spectacular? That too!
Grass? Lots of grass library textures, but if don't like any of those, it lets you custom create grass in the program.
Snow? Did I mention snow? Yes, snow.
Raylectron will even animate. Just be sure you have a really good PC.

It's great Raylectron comes with all these grunge maps. Would be the "cherry on top" if your able to layer the grunge map over the base color or texture.
-
All textures in Raylectron allow you to change the base color.
You can combine a Nrml map with the texture as well.
