Sketchup low performance, not using enough cpu, gpu, ram
-
Hello,
I'm using Sketchup Pro 2018 on my windows 10. I have 1050Ti 4 gb GPU, Intel i7 8th gen Cpu and 16 gb of ram. My fps drops to 5 - 10 a lot on Sketchup and average fps is 30, I use Msi Afterburner to check and Sketchup's usage never exceedes %50 on Gpu, %30 on Cpu and it uses 7 gb of ram (max.) when there's 16 available. I guess around 4 gb of that goes to windows 10 but that still leaves about 12 gb of ram. I don't have any background applications running. Is there a way I can make Sketchup use more of my components?
Thank you.

The key thing is that SketchUp like other similar programs will only use a single core of your CPU. There's no way to use more of your CPU.
Make sure you are modeling efficiently and cleanly. Also make sure your 1050TI is actually doing the work of displaying Sketchup.

Yeah I'm sure gtx 1050Ti does the job. I looked more into it and it seems you're correct. My Cpu's 3rd thread hangs around %80 and goes to %100 sometimes so that's probably the issue here. Anyways thank you
