EP Fasteners & Threaded Holes a old SU 2014/15 plugin/extension
https://extensions.sketchup.com/extension/573d4a17-e707-470a-a1c8-c2dadbf1c16b/ep-fasteners-threaded-holes
Looks and sounds great, anyone know why it does not work beyond 2015, I use Make 2017 and it just hangs, I know nothing about ruby scripting and SU, but this extension, I can see great uses for , even for my own private project around the house use.Thank-you

The extension hasn't had any attention for many years but it does work in SU2017. It also works in 2018, 2019, 2020, and even in 2021. I just made a bolt with it in 2021.
It may be that what you are asking it to do is taxing your computer's graphics card so it might take longer to create and display the object.
To be honest, I wouldn't really recommend this. It doesn't create very nice threads if you need accurate ones and if you only need a representation of threads, you can make a much lighter component for that.
If I need to make screw threads for 3D printing, I prefer to use Curve Maker and Eneroth Upright extruder.

Thank-you for the response.
Jay sent me v1.06 and it works great in Make 2017.
I will also try your suggestions
Thank-you

Is v1.06 available anywhere? I cannot find it and still enjoy using the plugin.

the one that is available from the Extension Warehouse works fine in SU2021. No reason it shouldn't work in 2017 Make.

Thank you for the reply, I'm running 2018 pro and the EPF started a small issue on that version. It no longer can create holes in solids. For quick insertion of fasteners, nothing comes close, I just wish they had more support to keep it up to date. The hole and threaded hole insertion was great for closeup video walk through's.
Still, a well written plugin.

Please correct your profile. It says you are using 2017 Make.
As far as an updated version of the extension, I guess you should contact the author. You can do that through the Extension Warehouse.
