Register page fail (fatal error, incorrect db config)
-
Hi there,
I tried to help my friend to register to sketchucation and I discovered that there is a failure - fatal error - incorrect db failure.
Is it global problem or it's just on my computer??Best Regards,

I think it's not an SCF error...
Can you provide more details about the computer, the internet browser you are using and the exact steps you took up to that error message...
If looks to me like a browser add-on/plugin 'yourls' is causing this issue on your PC !?
Can you retry with that disabled ?? -
Oh, it's really strange if this is a problem with my computer. I used both: Firefox (newest version and Chrome - also the most actual version 86.0.4240.111), Clear Chrome - without any extensions, incognito mode.
I start on https://sketchucation.com/pluginstore and then I click in the top right corner: "Register" button. On the next page I try "Sign Up here" on the top, or any other subscribe buttons for paid subscriptions plan and always get an page error:
Fatal error
Incorrect DB config, or could not connect to DBI'm in Poland, use windows 10 Pro, it's really strange...

Can you retry with that disabled ??Hmm... I don't use any plugins, especially "yourls" (don't know what is this ).
after clicking SIGN UP HERE it redirects me to this url: http://url.sketchucation.com/freeplan or here (after Subscribe Basic plan): http://url.sketchucation.com/15plan
This redirection is made on both browsers (Firefox, and Chrome) so I suppose it is not an browser plugin issue?
PS: I tested this on the other computer in my home and it behaves identically, I asked my friend in the other location to test it - waiting for replay

Hello,
My friend answered me that he also has the same issue - he is in totally different town, so the problem is on server side. Sketchucation has some url shortener enabled, which stopped working.
How to inform them?
I guess it is some local problem (Poland?/ Europe?) and not everyone has it?BR

I've passed it on to our IT guy, Gábor...
PS: I had another report like this, so perhaps our server has a fault...
Gábor will investigate / fix it asap... -
Thank you for reporting the problem.
Indeed one of our servers had some technical issues during the weekend which caused some failed registration and plugin download attempts. The problem has been fixed and the site is fully operational now.
