Can't open my skp files
-
Folks, I use SUp 2015. I needed ver 2016 to open a 3d warehouse model so I downloaded 2016 Make. Then I Removed it after saving the file as 2015.
now I can't open any 2015 skp files that are in folders, like this s shot. I need to open the 2015 shortcut on my desktop, and browse to the skp file in order to open it.
what can I do??

Does this a big deal ? What do you want more speed ?
-
Yes it's a big deal, I can't open my 2015 skp files from within their folder, in that s shot you see they're grayed out. You might have misread my post?
-
Ah Ok...
Can you post a little example of a SU 2016 SKP ?
For I make the same as you... -
Yeah I can only use my 2015 when I open the main shortcut then browse to the skp I want. This started when I installed / uninstalled 2016.
I thought it might be my File Associations, went to look but see this message, says to look for an app?
I'm sitting here now using SUp 1015, on a win 10 machine.

I have 2015,2016,2017 "Make" installed...any problem for make any save and reload in any version
(up or down versions for compatibility)And why not keep the 2016 generating the 2015 file whished?
-
because I thought Removing it would solve this problem.
weird it shows no SUp app in that file association window
-
2016 is now seen as the default but its not there for it to use so it doesn't know what to do.
If you have the 2015 install.exe run it as administrator and choose 'repair'. -
Right on Frenchy I'll try that, in the meantime I can R click and use
Open With 2015
-
Yeah I don't have that install.exe darn it.
