My upcoming architectural perspective book!

I have been lucky enough to be included in the transition generation of architects: wane of hand skills and wax of CAD softwares. Some of us promptly embarked on using software and some are still relying on hand skills. I, personally as an ambidextrous architect believe that they both are good tools but, hand skills are irreplaceable and continue using hand sketching in both design and learning process and gained a good reputation in it so that am included in mentoring team on an annual sketching event that is held by municipality of my home town "Isfahan". We gather and guide a group of students in historical places and also make a few sketches for educational purposes. You can find me here (the man in black

Here are some of my sketches while have been tutoring how to draw over an architectural "object".
Recently I and a colleague -Shima- are trying to jot down our experiences on the design process.
We dream of a set of books on architectural design, thinking, our approach, our way of sketching, etc...

The first book in a row is entitled "Architectural perspective shortcut".
We are trying to drop unnecessary steps while keeping the final result still valid and true, the way we ourselves do.
Soon will share some images of the book on "How to make a perspective of a mental subject"

Lovely. I just really enjoy this stuff! I recall finding the first books on perspective drawing in the library, books from the 50's about drafting and getting sucked into the whole business! These studies look very cool1 I love the mood of the last one. You must have such great buildings to draw.

I myself personally am mesmerized by the loose characteristics of hand sketching during the design process and also love to create sketches over beautiful heritage buildings.
My sketches belong to "Baba roknodin", "Yazd historical city" and the watercolor is made over "Hasht behesht palace". I made them while traveling to Yazd or at my hometown, Isfahan. -
Good luck with the new book Majid, I can but only dream of producing that kind of work!

Really beautiful work Majid, and a bit of a salve for the soul in this ugly, chaotic year.
Looking forward to seeing (and buying) your book when it's available. I was planning on teaching my two grandkids how to draw with perspective sometime this year, so it will be a particular help in working out the pedagogy — not to mention that I imagine it will improve (and speed) my own drawings!
I appreciate all of your contributions here, and your demonstrated abundance of humanity, positivity and talent.

I wish it would be handy! .. And do you draw?... I mean freehand artwork drawings?

The watercolor is mesmerizing.
I like using a pen, even for making notes of ToDo's for the plugin.
All the best with your effort! I am personally very interested in it.
I will certainly learn a lot from it. My hand-sketches were never good enough. -

The kindle and the paper-back versions of "perspective shortcuts" are now on the Amazon. I think due to the approach we made, it is an appropriate balance of accuracy and being intuitive. I hope readers find it handy and a joy.
