Playing around with some product renders with SketchUp and Thea Render. Used the coffee maker I'm modeling right now as a test subject! Any ideas on how I can make this lighting look even better? Would love some thoughts πŸ˜„

Looks really good to me. πŸ‘

Most product shots are done with two lights: one from the top and one from the front but slightly off to one side. Sometimes three lights,, with one again, on top and two other from the front, but again off center.

        Lights are often soft lights.

Maybe play around with a combination like that? Also, various backgrounds such as patterns and colors are often used as well, with black being the easiest and most dramatic.

Thank you! I tried playing around with the lights as you suggested and I like it a lot more! Getting odd banding effects on some of the faces which seems to be an unfortunate side effect of the round corner plugin. Oh well, nitpicking lol πŸ˜›

Interestingly, changing the shape profile from "squircle" to just a plain circle in the RoundCorner menu seems to now produce clean, artifact free bevels. Go figure πŸ˜›
