When I was mimicing the tutorial to create an organic shape chair model, I used Zorro2 plug in which should be like a 'sword' logo in the task bar, however mine didn't show, it could be found at the bottom of the Tool dropdown list, which was fine, still usable. But, when this slicing tool was used, my model couldn't be sliced neatly in halves, which left a gap when one half was created as a component then mirrored...

I wonder if the gap would create issues when export as .stl to 3d printing? Or, if I close up the gap using vertex tool, would it cause issue to be solid?

Questions is, how can Zorro2 the slice cut tool be carried out neatly and precisely?

Be sure you aren't mixing up the Icon, I don't remember Zorro having a tool bar, but Artisan does have a sword tool.

Zorro adds an option to the section plane context menu, slice model at section. This can be used within a group to accurately place and slice your geometry in context without slicing the rest of the model.
The gap you have created may be due to not slicing on the plane you mirrored.

Tig's Split to Plane would be another option for accurate slicing of solids.

Close. Artisan has a knife / dagger / Roman type sword icon, Zorro has a sable type sword icon.
