      Hi!

As i“m working now a while with Sketchup and V-Ray, i“m always trying to improve my work
      and searching for new challenges.

There is one topic which is always in my mind, it“s a way how to model/render a smooth transition
between an asphalt road and the shoulder (dirt area) next to the road.

As in reality, it“s never a clean line between them, there is always sand and dirt reaching the asphalt.

So i would like to ask you, if you already have been modeling/rendered such detailed stuff and if yes, what would be the best option to get a good result?

I was already thinking to use Skatter Plugin for something like this...like tiny cubics with the dirt texture on it and use the falloff function but i think this is just generating a lot of geometry?

      What are your thoughts?

      Cheers!

Do you need much more than a texture?
