Draw on curved face

Would anyone be able to show me for how to draw on the face of a curved surface, such as a cylinder? I am modeling cable routing so being able to "push along path" of the drawing is essential. thanks!

Can you show us exactly what you've got so far and what you are trying to achieve. The exact process will depend on what you want. If you are trying to use Follow Me to sweep a profile around a cylinder, that's one thing. If you want to draw a path that doesn't just go around the cylinder (maybe changes direction on the cylinder, for example) that would be a different process. One thing you might look at is Fredo6's Tools on Surface. in the Sketchucation Extension Store.
