Is any feature exist that will automatically re align all bounding boxes to the group? ALl the groups in this case is cubes (timber studs). Itd be great if the shortest side was aligned to say red, second longest to green and third longest to blue. See attached. Thanks.

Not sure that plugin would do it Cotty.

I don't have good automatic plugin ideas myself. These are groups, not components. And OP wants the bounding box aligned to the objects. If it were a component, is there a plugin that can "know" how to rotate the axis to what is drawn?

Manually: you'd have to change these to components and realign the axes to the objects. The component bounding box is aligned to its axes. You could do this easily to the outermost group. (The rest may be more easily redrawn as components.)

If you use components instead of groups, you can set the axis orientation while you are creating the component. You could also temporarily set the model axes to align with the the part of the model you are working on. Then when you make the group or component, the axes will take on the model axis alignment.
