File got pretty large...now, cannot open.
-
Working on a complex file with images and TINs. One day it was about 160 megs. the next day its 775 megs!. Worked in it OK all day (slow autosaves, but they always were). Saved at end of day. Next day...can't open file.
Any suggestions? Hate to lose a day of tricky work.

Have a look and see if your RAM is running out. If it is - make sure you close all internet tabs, photoshop and as many other programs as you can.
Also try and reduce the size of the SketchUp window to as small as possible while the file is opening - to the size of a postage stamp if possible.
This reduces the demand on the computer and has helped me open files in the past that were too large. Then after it has fully loaded, you can gradually increase the size of the window and trim some of the file size out by clearing out some of the model and re-saving the file.
