I tried searching for a solution. However, I cannot see for looking.

I am trying to export a 2D section to DWG format. The export works ok except that I get polyface meshes in the DWG file.

What is the best way to export lines only?

I'd be inclined to copy the edges of the section into a new SketchUp file so there are no faces and export from there. That way you would know exactly what will be included in the export.

Uncheck the Section Fill option for the style you are using prior to exporting to DWG.
