Nokia 105.
Sketchup & Maxwell Render.I'm giving up on smart phones, getting one of these 20 euro dumb phones soon
-
Nice!
How did you texture the buttons?
-
Great image. If you are giving up on smart phones I must be ahead of the game. I have a Nokia 2600 that goes back before smart phones were considered essential, this thing rarely gets used so it is doing what I need. Flip top and all.

at least privately I still run such a thing (Nokia C2-05) which also seems to be indestructible somehow and could resist the whole smartphone stuff so far. Friends already laugh at me like this "I have to invite you to my birthday in a personal conversation" etc But beware: after about 5 to 6 days at the latest you will have to recharge and will have forgotten where the charger is.
Well done !

I've had an iPhone 4 since it launched in 2007 it lasted well but has finally started dying. I have begun to find it a distraction especially social media. Also being in construction it gets damaged and the ports get damaged with rubble and dust. These simple nokias are appealing to me in their size, weight and price. The nokia 105 is 20 euros lol thats cheaper than a render of it if i was charging ! My wife just bought an iPhone X 1250 euros is ridiculous to me as i can buy a 2nd hand car for that ! I'm going back to basics and regressing now i'll get a month of standby and a week of talking on a single charge ! I'm happy enough with calls and texts the unnecessary technology is actually more of a hindrance to me than a benefit.
Regarding the render i used a texture from google images to model from. I used the same texture on the screen and keys. I made a HDR from the image so it emitted light in the render and i could adjust the 4 light sources independently with multi light while it rendered. I used an internal apartment HDRI, a simple emitter for the torch and then a separate HDR for the screen (glossy) and a duplicate for the keys (matt)

Good job

Great as always, may I ask subtle bevel on keys and screen edge and a bit more brighter render please?
-
Haha yes a super tiny bevel on the keys would have been ok but the texture had the round edges and hid this a bit. The screen is so small a protrusion i think i made it 1mm i suspect in reality it is flush with the plastic case. regarding the brightness perhaps are screens are calibrated differently. Also sometimes i think the mistakes and imperfections often add to the photo realism. Super bright stuff seems unrealistic sometimes also. I'm happy with the result perhaps it is just my interpretation. I added the image below that i used if anyone else wants to try :
