      Hi all.
I am having major issues with a model which is behaving as though it has clipping plane issues and yet as far as I can see does not fulfil any of the usual criteria for this to happen. The whole thing disappears from view if I try to move or delete anything. I can orbit around certain directions but when I get close to a front view, with perspective view, it clips, and similarly on the left side view. The model is not huge or very small and is sitting close to the axes. This has only happened recently, the model has been fine up to now. Can anyone think of any accidental keystrokes which could cause this, or any other ideas please?

      Thanks

      Nick

Does it disappear if you turn on Hidden Geometry and hit Zoom Extents?

What happens if you copy the model into a new file?

          Hi Dave
Thanks, looks like I forgot to set up the zoom extents shortcut on last time I upgraded. Thought I was using it but the key is redundant. Copying the file is just the same

Zoom extents places the camera very far away. I can now see face me text near the axes. I must have accidentally dragged something off into the distance but am struggling to locate it.
          Any methods?

If it's text at a long distance, it could be due to a weird bug. How did you select the model for copying? With Ctrl+A? If you drag a selection box around the model instead, you should be able to select it without that distant text. Then copy and paste into a new file.

If you can see the text, you should be able to select it and delete it. If you want, send me the file by PM and I'll give it a go.

Found it. Somehow a text label within a group got placed way off in the distance instead of on the object. That made the group massive and harder to select to isolate. Now deleted and behaving as normal.

              Thanks for your help Dave
