Plugins toolbar crashes - why and how to fix?
-
The first thing to do is make sure SketchUp is installed correctly. Quit SketchUp. Find the installer, right click on it and choose Run as administrator. Then when the options appear, choose Repair. After the installation completes open SketchUp and see if you can position the toolbars.

Hi Dave, I tried your method with administrator rights, but nothing happend.
Is it possible that when I moved files from Roaming SKP 2017 to SKP 2018 somthings block any changes in layout/workplace? -
I also remove all application data, and unistall Sketchup, then reinstal and nothing happend.
Maybe Sketchup need admin privileges for save for some files? But how to find it and add privileges? -

What exactly did you do when installing. Do you mean you logged into Windows as administrator?
-
No i just run SKP instalator from context menu as administrator, as you wrote.

OK. That's different than "with administrator rights."
Try uninstalling and cleaning the Registry before reinstalling with Run as administrator.

OK,
I know how to go to registry, but how to cleen it - which keys? -
Safest thing would be to use a registry cleaner like CCleaner.

Have you any sugestion how to migrate all plugins from previous version without installing all plugins manualy? -

Have you any sugestion how to migrate all plugins from previous version without installing all plugins manualy?Sketchucation tool?? Give that a go, will help for extensions from sketchUcation only.
Smustard has a tool, for plugins from their site, that helps (at least you won't have to hunt down latest versions of the ones you own).
Extension Warehouse login and install from within SU.
Unfortunately you will have to spend time and get toolbars the way you want it and install some extensions / plugins manually...

I have the same problem with the toolbars as Dihe has in Sketchup 2018.
But I also have a bigger problem. Layout 2017 does'nt start up anymore since I installed Sketchup 2018. The Sketchup-icon in Windows 10 does not open Layout 2017. "Send to Layout" in Sketchup 2017 does not work either.
How can I fix this? -

Extensions you installed through the Extension Warehouse can be automatically installed by clicking on your name and then My Extensions. You can automatically install fresh copies of your extensions from Sketchucation if you used the Sketchucation Extension Store tool to install them the first time. It will record your bundle which can then be installed in a new version or on a different computer.

How to fixed.
- Close SketchUp Application.
- Press Win+R to open run dialog.
- Type â%localappdata%\SketchUp\SketchUp 2018\SketchUpâ and press enter.
- Open file âPrivatePreferences.jsonâ with notepad or text editor applications.
5.Scorll down to find like this below.
Example:
âRubyWorkspace\ToolbarsUser-Bar0â: {
âBarIDâ: 59648
"BarName": âArtisanâ
},- Remember number of âBarIDâ and Scorll up to find like this below.
Example from Step 4
"RubyWorkspace\RubyToolbar-59648" {
âColumnsâ: 0, <== Number of columns (0 = Default, 1 = Fix to 1 Columns, 2 = Fix to 2 Columns, etc.)
âDockBarIdâ: 0, <== Change Number 0 to 59419
"Visible": 0 <== Change Number 0 to 1 (0 = false, 1 = true)
},7.Save
8.Open SketchUp
9.Move Toolbar to Docking any PositionPS: Sorry for my english language
Note: Tonight I will uploade video how to fixed it on my youtube channel (TONYWINStheCHANNEL) with thai language.
