Don't forget to give your piece a daft/offensive/creepy title. 'Death To Midgets', 'All Your Vgn*s Are Belong To Us', something along those lines.

Ooh! Gotcha. Will think on it. Trouble is I don't think that way normally. Any further tips on how to be weird:)
Daft: 'How to make Ice cream fudge furniture'
Offensive: 'F--k you, Ikea man'.
Creepy: 'They ain't shadows, they is your death.'
But how 'bout: 'The Last Sideboard' No, too last supper.
Or: 'Abandoned'Now I am getting seriously weirded out.
But whaddya really think Stinkie?
PS: More than happy to share the SKP if anybody wants to weird it more...

That's a good thing, right?
That depends on your mental state. If you gaze long into an abyss, the abyss also gazes into you.

Needs a pinch of claustrophobia, IMO. That or spaceships. Can't go wrong with those!
Friday! Beer! Yay!

There's simply not enough libertarian socialism in the render.
Deal with it!

Seriously, though, I'd start by changing the lighting. Looks too normal right now. A small yet bright emitter (like a flash) in front of the object, perhaps? Then take it from there.
Might also help: sharp edges (no bevels), blurry lo-res textures, high focal length. 'Bad' renders often have an almost tangible eerie quality.

Here's an example.

What's not to like about this?

Aqua blue, red and brown colour palette is soothing and aggitating.
The insta-break bunk ladder rungs are genius.
Or my favourite, the pillow.
Devil is in the details.
