Cut opening in plane
-
Has a routine been put together that would cut true openings in a plane based on the cutting edges of a cutting component?
Basically, I have a tool that will subdivide a plane into smaller planes (think lap siding) but if I have a window that cuts an opening, the tool doesn’t see the 'cut' of the window. I need a tool that, after I place my windows/doors, I can use to do a true cut into the plane the window is glued to.
Intersect with selection creates a cut in every location where a window and plane intersect, so that doesn’t work well. My recourse currently is to draw a rectangle on my plane, hide my window, and delete the inner plane in the opening.
Thanks.

Fredo continues to blow my mind. I now have a new tool to add to the toolbox, but this doesn’t do exactly what I was looking for. Thanks for the suggestion, though!
