    give us ability to change axes in groups

    give us ability to change default from component to group when creating 3d text

        I see what you mean. I was looking for the option in the context menu when the group is open for editing.

          How about preventing the current behaviour of making a group or component and finding this group or component has a completely different axes from the parent group or model.

            You can already do that but you have to right click the axes. I didn't know you could right click outside the axes to change them for components until today. It would be nice if this behavior was made more consistent.

              thanks - I am now adding the following to my cheat sheet:
              "skp - you can change axes of a group without clicking the axes toolbar icon. just right click the axis and choose 'place' while the group is open for editing."

                This all deserves a dedicated videos on axis. Also the mechanics of turning axis, and the cutting component axes. I don't fiddle with them much but i am never quite sure what I am doing when I do. I know there are various vids but it'd be nice to SU create the one source explanation. Hide show axes etc.
