    Hi guys and gals,

Bit of a weird one, using CLF Shape bender to try and create a kink in a lever, but it refuses to work with the profile I need, it just stays straight. Any other shape seems to work fine! Attached is a pic - as you can see the lever stays straight rather than taking on the bend.

    Any suggestions?

    Alan

From your screen shot it looks like you've not set things up correctly. Align the arc with the red axis and laying on the red/green plane as indicated in the instructions.

It makes no difference which way the shape profile is orientated as long as the straight one is on red. They were all originally parallel, I've rotated and moved everything and nothing seems to result in the right profile.

Since we don't yet have your SKP file to work with, I drew something similar set up correctly and ran Shape Bender. It worked just fine for me. There's nothing wrong with Shape Bender.

Sorry for your confusion, if you look at the pic you'll see that the Shape in question is not that arc, that works, look at it and you'll see the plugin running on the straight profile with the cranked out bit.

Doesn't matter now I did it manually, but it would have been nice if the plugin worked.

I agree with Dave. If you put the line and curve on the xy plane and aligned with the x axis, it works everytime.

Nothing is worthless, it can always be used as a bad example.
