3d Connexion CADMouse 'missing clicks'

Really odd, started happening yesterday.
I re-loaded drivers (the latest)... to no avail.
Happens in SU and LO, as well as other apps.Mac, El Capiton whatever is latest official release.
CAD Mouse misses clicks it seems, or jumps them together.Anyone else seeing this?
bmike,
How many "miles" on your mouse? (seriously)
I ask because it could be a weak "spring" within the mouse. (micro switch)Is it limited to say the left mouse button or a "most used" button/switch?
I have "rebuilt" my MXrevolution left button (twice now) due to failure of a "spring" within the micro switch.
After it exhibited the equivalent as you describe. (missed click/doble click)anyway....food for thought.

Mike,
Does your left click require more effort than previously. My mouse went from the lightest of clicks (which I love) to requiring increasingly more pressure for the click. This happened over about 18 months. 3d Connexion replaced the mouse.

KrisMAfter more testing, it seems to be hardware related. But it's inconsistent and sometimes it will register a double or triple click, or no click at all.
I've reached out to their online support folks. Hopefully they get back to me.
In the mean time I've ordered another. I hope they replace it (new to me in October 15) - and if they do I'll have a spare.Really can't work (well) without it. Trying to get my muscle memory to remember what a normal mouse does... (Orbit, right click, programmable buttons that don't exists...)

I've had exactly the same issue with my left mouse button. The mouse is about 9 months old.
Again, I tried updating the mouse driver, but with no improvement. It does seem to be a hardware issue.
I've also contacted 3DConnexion support & am waiting for a response. -

The crazy part is that I've come to rely on how I mapped the buttons. Working on a 'standard' mouse is just weird...

Mike,
I agree on how good it is - light action buttons & a proper middle button, rather than just pressing the wheel mouse makes a huge difference. The virtual onscreen pop up control becomes a natural way of working.
But - my old Microsoft Intellimouse lasted longer than the CADmouse for far less money, so I hope 3Dconnexion respond with a solution promptly. -

I have a couple of Logitechs here going on 8 years old...

They asked me to install a firmware update... but I'm on a Mac and it only runs on Windows, so I had to boot up my accounting machine (my old Mac) with Bootcamp and Windows7. After installing the drivers, then installing the firmware updater and then again installing Java Run Time I was able to load the firmware onto the CadMouse... then plugged it into my current Mac... and have the same issue.

Thanks for the update. Nothing to report here.
3DConnexion were in touch this afternoon. As the mouse is still in warranty, they will replace it. -

Can't get here soon enough.

The CadMouse I ordered as soon as I suspected mine was bad arrive a couple of days ago... thankfully, so I could get back to my full speed work.
I am awaiting the warranty replacement - I will keep it as a spare.
Overall 3d Connexxion did a great job on the service side of things.

That's my replacement mouse arrived & plugged in. I forgot just how good it is to use; just hope it survives longer than 9 months work this time.
