    Inspired by the forests in the film "The Revenant" here is my version with Sketchup, Skatter & Maxwell Render.

        very cool. really like the camera view. just curious , all trees and plants 3D. if so can't imagine the poly count. 👍

          Yes all 3d, i skatter proxies in sketchup. I see simple bounding boxes so its not really an issue. Maxwell has no limits poly wise at least none I've found. I attached a sketchup view to explain. I skattered four groups trees,grass,ferns and pine cones with different settings.
