Any smokers here? Wanna quit?
-
I still have the Provari I bought 21/2 years ago.....have often thought about buying something else just in case the Provari ceases to work, and there are a few vape shops popping up nearby which means I can easily get something quite quickly if I need to, instead of having to wait for an order to be delivered.
In South Australia, our Government has set up a Parliamentary Enquiry Committee to investigate Vaping (and yes, they also use the word eCigs too).....and it will come as no surprise if they recommend introducing similar laws to those of the UK.
I was a little slower than Oli and Pete and a few others....I gradually cut down my smoking over a 6 month period after I started vaping until I felt comfortable with giving up the stinkies.
If I hadn't seen this topic created by Oli, I might still be smoking (or dead...!!)
March 10 will be mark my 2 year anniversary of being smoke free....2 days to go...might have a little celebration....!!
-
Well done Gareth. When you're celebrating let us know and I'll crack a beer open too! Those 2.5 Provaris are still the best IMO, the P3 had some issues with battery terminals not connecting all the time. It also used to say the battery was low when it wasn't. IN fact my 2.5 mini still works and I dropped it from a second storey window!
Stefan: The radius IS overpriced for what it does....but it's built extremely well. It's hard to compare it to other box mods because I've never seen one built as good as the radius. It really is a different league of quality, feels like an old Leica camera in the hand. Only goes up to 40 watts but I only vape around 20 watts anyway. But at the end of the day it does the same job as any other mod 5 times cheaper.
I like to use the Radius when out and about and I always keep the RX200 at home. RX200 genuinely lasts the whole day without charging.
I know exactly what you mean about box mods.....they really aren't ergonomic. I just like the look of the Radius....a tube is still better in the hand but usually longer than a box mod.
I was also going to buy the goblin mini....but you need to use a screwdriver to fill liquid! And if you top-fill it's really messy. It looks quality though, I've seen loads of good reviews. The reason I use subtanks is because my whole family use the same coils....it just makes sense to all use the same devices as I know the liquid I make will be nice for all of them.
I have a Uwell Crown but not happy with flavour; it tastes a bit muted, almost metallic and clinical. Not my cup of tea so that's now a spare.
My mum bought this Endura for going out (photo below).....surprisingly nice. Great flavour and cheap. Plus ohm mouth-to-lung style but really quite good and very discrete.
I do get a bit bored of direct lung inhales.....it feels like i get less "hit" and no throat hit at all. Maybe I'll go back to the good old kayfun!!

Vape on! -
I missed my anniversary, 3 years and two days ago I quit tobacco and have not gone back, not even a slight craving, in fact I cannot stand the smell of cigarettes.
Thanks Oli.

What mg use vaping?
-
Time flies...3 years ago, slightly dizzy from the nicotine, I had my first post in this thread. Never looked back! Thanks Oli, congrats Pete, congrats everyone!

-
And my Provari I bought 3 years ago is still going strong, used daily. I have a small e-leaf for when I leave the house, but the Provari is the best thing I bought.
-
I'm using an eLeaf Starter set to 9 watts with 12mg menthol juice
Try various sweet juices but they were sickly after awhile.
Only 10 months smoke free. But smoke free at least.
No doubt EU will feck this up at some point.
-
I like Pina colada and grapelicious flavors, pretty much all I buy these days.
-
My 2 year anniversary arrived on March 10, and I still have my 2 1/2 year old Provari (the switch plays up occasionally, but other than that it still works very well) although I should really get myself a backup unit.
I generally vape with around 6-8mg, and often 0mg, but must admit I still feel the need for just a little nicotine most times.
Well done Rich, Stefan, Pete and Baz, every landmark is important and a wonderful achievement....and thanks again to Oli for getting me started on the whole vaping mission....!!

One year smoke free last Monday!
Thanks for all the help and encouragement guys. -
Best juice I vaped in 3 years! And funny enough, I can vape "direct lung " style with the Griffin. Happy as a clam!
Cheers!
PS: the liquid is made in France, by Vape Institut.

Ok, need some help.I kept droping my Provari, and the tank would leak, trash my cart, and I got pissed. This was back when I was still working contruction. Didn't like the taste or draw of the 20 dollar specials, so I quit vaping. Now I'm retired, just "putts" around the shop, so I want to bring my Provavi back to life. Six vape stores later, best I can do for parts, is 2 new batteries. I want to replace my tank and "everything above the neck". I can't see well enough to wrap coils, which in turn make my patience for such a thing, impossible. I need links to the stuff I need to get this together.
- Interchangable tanks would be nice for different flavors or even as refill on the fly
- coils I don't have to wrap myself
You all have way more experiance than me on whats available now
Thanks in advance!!! -
I've got this nautilus tank because i kept breaking the glass one too.
this one takes a beating as i drop it numerous times a day. I got 3 of them so I can swap out the flavours.
mint and vampire kiss are my fav juices.
-
Rich you have a link? I may be in the US but around me everyone is going low ohm, I can't find sh*

My eye site is going, I can't do searches like I used to. If you look in the wwodworking section you will see a CNC router I am working on. Because of my limitations it's taking a long time. But I will finish it. But in the mean time, any help in this would be nice( As I sit here cholking).I have to quit smoking. BTW this took about 15 minutes to type.
