Sketchup performance issues
-
Hi all
I have just bought a new macbook pro 15", 2gb graphics card, 16 gb ram.Once i loaded sketchup 2016 i noticed that the tool icons are tiny and therefore the inference engine and snapping are really hard to use as it will snap to points very near a vertices and not the actual vertices i want.
Also plane clipping has become an issue as i have to zoom so far in to grab points accurately.
Generally the platform seems unstable and takes ages to save. I am very disappointed as i thought it would speed up my workflow not make me slower. Is this a software problem as I don't seem to have any problems in cinema 4d, photoshop
Thanks in advance for any help.

thank your retina display for those problems

No, thank Trimble for being slow to adapt SketchUp for high-dpi displays of any sort.

So is it that Mac is no good for Sketchup?
Should i migrate to P.C?
Also not being able to customise the toolbars is annoying.
Thanks -

Thanksthe 4k display is what is the root cause here, some PC's also have those...
I would consider a secondary display since you have the mac already
