Video Artifacting
-
These sorts of artifacts have been appearing more and more. They aren't there when I start a new sketch, but after I add a few objects they almost always appear - at this point they almost never go away.

Often they look like geometry of things that I've had in other files - files that parts of the current sketch may have been copied from.
If I export an image it appears normal w/o these lines. It's becoming more than a minor nuisance and I'd love to know how to make it go away.

It looks like an issue with your graphics card. You might try turning off Hardware Acceleration in Preferences>OpenGL. Also try updating your graphics card driver.
What version of SketchUp are you using and what operating system? Your profile doesn't indicate those things.

Hey, that just may have fixed it.
updated my profile to include some information.

or, are they in your Template?
post a skp and we can check...

I've tested this file - with hardware acceleration enabled I get artifacts, with it turned off I do not.

Purging the model gets rid of a lot of materials, but no random geometry found...
sounds like Graphics card...

It's block the computer when you try to explode some components!
