Sketchup blijft traag

Beste leden,

Ik werk al een poos met Sketchup en maak naar eigen zeggen leuke dingen. Echter het werken met Sketchup geeft me altijd erg veel hoofdpijn. Tijdens het modelleren moet ik vaak lang wachten omdat Sketchup aan het denken is. Dit was altijd al het geval op mijn 4-core laptop dus heb om deze reden een zwaardere desktop aangeschaft.

Specificaties van de desktop:
Processor:Intel i7-5820K 3.3GHz
Werkgeheugen: 32GB DDR4
Videokaart: Geforce GTX 970 4GB

Het gaat uiteraard wel wat beter, maar het valt me toch tegen. Moet ik hier gewoon genoegen meenemen of zou ik iets kunnen checken in Sketchup. Want ik weet eigenlijk wel zeker dat hier het probleem zit want 3ds Max geeft nooit problemen. Het probleem is echter dat ik daar minder bedreven in ben en geen tijd heb om er flink op te studeren omdat ik vaak met strakke deadlines zit.

Ben benieuwd of iemand me hier kan helpen! Bedankt!

I have been working for a while with Sketchup and create your own say nice things. However, working with Sketchup always gives me a lot of headaches. During the modeling I have to wait long because often Sketchup is thinking. This has always been the case in my 4-core laptop so for this reason I bought a heavier desktop.

Of course it is a bit better, but it disappoints me anyway. Should I bring here just pleasure if I could check something in Sketchup. With those system specs, your modelling should go fine if your models are not too complex. Could you share more information on you kind of models (a picture or example of model), statistics (number of polygons/edges, textures) etc?

Some general notes:

did you check if you have enabled OpenGl (use hardware acceleration) in SketchUp?
you already use a good hierarchy/layer system so you can easily turn off high poly detail while working?
you could try running the Goldilocks plugin to identify if you have excessive detail/large models in you scene.
SketchUp only uses 1 core of your cpu.

If you can share more information you have a better chance we can help you identify the problem.

Welke versie gebruik je, 32 of 64 bit ?

Persoonlijk heb ik een oudere PC en geen enkel probleem. Misschien draaien er ook andere programma, op de achtergrond.
Gewoon alles even checken
