Hello, does anyone know if there is an extension where one can quickly edit the xyz position of objects in sketchup? For example, sometimes i need to quickly ground objects to z=0 or to a certain height z=20. The Extension DropGC is pretty good, but limited to grounding objects. Would be super cool if there would be a transformation box with length and weight and a point of origin. Is there something? The Measurement box isn't too handy...

        Hi.
Look at this article. Move command

        Just a moment...

        favicon

        (help.sketchup.com)

        use <x,y,z> in measurement box

I take the slow, deliberate approach in my aimless wandering.

You're right. At least if you don't learn how to use it. Read the Help article mitcorb linked to. If you want to move entities to a specific location relative to the origin, use [x,y,z]. If you want to move things to the ground plane, you can use [,,0]. What ever point you grab with the Move tool will be located at the ground plane.
