DOCUMENT UPDATE
-
In the layout 2015 toolbar customization panel, there is a command called 'update document'. I dragged it into the toolbar and closed out the box, but it fails to update my drawings. Any ideas?

Does not work in LO Pro 2016 either!

The "Update Document" command is supposed to render all of the models in the document. If I turn off auto-render, make some style changes, and then press "update document", LayOut appears to re-render all of the viewports. What behavior are you seeing?
Thanks,

the behavior i expect is for the scenes to update to the sketchup model that i just revised and saved. i expect the tool bar button mentioned above to act the same way as when i go to file>document setup...>references>update. or i expect it to work the same way as when i right click in a viewport and pick 'update model reference'. i would prefer the toolbar button as it would save me the navigation of the first method and the unlocking of the viewport in the second method. when i click the toolbar button, the cursor becomes an hourglass and blinks for a several seconds, but the scenes do not update. you mentioned rendereing - but i have no need or care to render since i use basic styles and no shadows and very few materials such as brick.

Rendering in this case refers to what LO does when it updates viewports or when you switch from one render mode to another, i.e. Raster to Vector. So I guess you should care to render.
