For the architecture plugins that cover other areas I just leave them. They each do too much to list. I'll make the change for Visualizer.

Seems some sections are not in alphabetic order !
More easy for see if a program is on the list or not!

Wow! This is a great thread! Thank you so much. Under Render, remember to add Brighter 3D
http://www.brighter3d.com/ which are available for free and paid for $100. -
OK, the list is already pretty big.
Can I then drop this idea: we'll continue to build it but perhaps it's also time to hear some users' experiences. Comparing similar plugins, their work-efficiency, cost-efficiency, known issues...

Added Drafting tools Section.

Is anyone aware of a plugin that draws dashed lines in any direction? For purposed of drawing door/window swing direction on door surfaces. Tried TIG's 2D tools but appears I can't draw at an angle...
-
Yes you can. Draw the edges first. The line style applies the styled line along an edge.
-
sketchup has a back edges which are hidden or dashed lines... If I recall there are a few hidden line dashed line plugins, but I never found it useful... I just wait and do line types in Layout.

LAND / SITE PLANNING:
2DXY SiteSurvey tool, $25.

trusses:
Medeek Truss (Nathaniel P. Wilkerson), $20, http://design.medeek.com/resources/medeektrussplugin.html
Truss tool (Tomot), $5, http://thingsvirtual.blogspot.ca/p/truss-tool_1452.html
Between the above two I can recommend Medeek's product hands down as I have both, Tomot's truss tool could do with improvement, there really is no comparison between the two...

that's a really good one. WIsh I had it. Soon I'll have some extra cash maybe? No, prolly not.

Blender isn't a plugin but Blendup is. It's perfect at exporting Sketchup to Blender with materials and cameras.
It's scope should probably be in exporters but it's almost a render plugin as you can export and simply hit render and cycles will render a very good image.
It's also very well priced 70$ final price but current price is 35$ at beta stage.
PS: Of course regarding blender as a renderer alone is like saying a city is meant for cars to drive around...
-
Wow this list is huge, but a great resource and summary of what's available out there. I might add that for developers its also a great resource, you can get a feel for what others have done and how to improve your own plugin. Thank-you for keeping this list up-to-date.
