Copying text in Layout

Windows 7 - 64 bit PC
In SU Pro 8 I used to be able to open two or more Layout files and copy and paste text from a page on one file to another very easily.
Now I cannot do this other than maybe on ths first occassion, after which I cannot copy text or a text box.
Am I doing something wrong?

Are you still using SU8/LO3? I've never had any problem with that on any version of LO and just tested it again with LO2015 and it worked like a charm.
What exactly happens when you try to copy and paste the text? Please be more specific.

I open up two files in Layout. In SU 8 I could double click on a text box on one page and copy some of the text. I could then paste that into a text box on another page from another file.
In SU2015 Layout most times I cannot even select a text box, never mind the text it contains.

Could you share an example LO file that shows this problem? I do this frequently in LayOut and have never had any difficulty with it.
