Are any of you guys interested in programming work?
-
Hi Guys,
I've been getting some inquiries via CATCHUP from various companies seeking plugins.
If anyone is interested please shoot me a PM or email mikel(at)sketchucation.com and I will brief you.
Best,
Mike

ThomThom suggested that I elaborate a little more.
His concerns are that he gets quite a lot of inquiries and finds that he ends up wasting a lot of time before discovering that the 'possible work' inquiry is coming from a dreamer with the next 'big idea' and really has no budget in place for the work in question.
I also get quite of lot of these types of inquiries and have to establish whether or not the enquirer is serious about the matter and has a reasonable budget in place.
Just thought I should let you know this. And as, I said in my previous post, I have a number of genuine inquiries from establish companies seeking plugin development work and have budgets in place for such.

Does this sticky still need to be here?
-
Another 2 years later I'd ask the same, does this still need to be here? If yes it'd be cool if that could be confirmed, if no I guess the sticky could be taken down.
-
Can I just ask, if a serious company with a real budget was looking for a freelancer to develop a couple of plugins, would either of you be able to help?
-
Totally. I'm not the most experienced developer out there but I did develop an entire toolbar for my previous company. I've made tools like immediate batch recoloring and renaming, tools to immediately create functional dynamic components from geometry and some other stuff like that.

Can I suggest you send a PM to Rich O Brien.
Outline your wishes and he might suggest some developers who might be able to help... -
I don't know if TIG works for money... It seems he's always giving it away. I don't know if he has any time for it with his hobby job... He's a pretty straight forward guy so I might think he would have said he could do it... However... He is perhaps the most prolific and detailed oriented plugin developer I have seen to date. You could count yourself lucky if he were to do it. Aaaaaand... He would pretty quickly know if it even could be done and would not waste your time.
If you don't want to take his advice and message Rich for a list of developers, there are tons of them here on the forum and if you posted, say in the plugins forum, a detailed description of your needs with the title "[$REQ$] WhatEver You Want"... I'm sure a bevy of talented devs would chime in. If you have some type of proprietary idea and don't want everyone in the world knowing? Take TIG's advice.

And this post is from 3 years ago soooo... I think we could prolly just ditch it all together.
