Still messin' with my '56

I hope one(or more) of those pictures will be up in the Community/Gallery because that is insane !! You make it look so real, it's like I am there tightening some bolts ("you mess with").

What's the file size this far?
Looks like Sketchup could crash any moment ...awesome modelling of course!

@Elisei -- Thanks, but it can't stand up to some of your amazing models. Gives me something to shoot for
@Carloh -- Well, the current version stands at 18.8GB, but don't know how large it would be if I got around to deleting some of the extraneous crap I have floating everywhere
You got me curious, after cleaning up the unnecessary stuff it dropped to 12.8GB, not too bad. -
Ooops, I meant MB

(And I suppose the model is 18.8MB not GB. At least this is how it looks like from the wireframe.) -
Very nice. Love the body style. My dad had a green/white one, which got stolen.

Another beauty Steve
I think everyone can tell how much you love modeling, without it you'd never produce the standard or consistency (perfection even) that you do .

I was thinking the same thing. At 18mb, mine WOULD crash.

So much detail inside that. Outrageous detailing! It would look really nice as a 3D printed scale model Keep it going, man!
As a classic car fan I have to say this is the best 3D model of a classic car in the whole world.

Thanks, but even my best efforts are tinkertoys compared to this guy's work

Finally found something on Ebay with actual dimensions that I can use to make sure things are located accurately.
Lots of work to do now. Fun time -
Try to make it as detailed as possible . You dont know when affordable 3d printers will be available for these kind of stuff . Good Job!

Holy crap! This is become MEGA! I cant even begin to believe you set yourself this project.!

Outstanding! My uncle had a turquoise and white Belaire, but it was the 4 four door version. It got torn apart and made into an irrigation pump. That was the fate of a copper colored '59 El Camino too.

This is amazing, I remember this from years ago, what are you using to render?
