Import 3D Warehouse and Subtraction Tool
-
Good morning.
I have imported a 3D model by Warehouse.
I Then, I made โโa 3D solid.
Now:
I want to use the tool " Subtraction " for the two objects.
But, Subtraction Tool does not work for the imported object from Warehose. How roslvere??

It would be much easier to give you a correct answer and resolution if we had the SKP file. It sounds like one of the components/groups you are trying to use is not solid. Both of them must be solid for any of the Solid Tools to work.

My guess was correct. The hex nut is not a solid component so of course the Solid Tools won't work. You'll need to fix it before Subtract will work. Spend some time reading about the Solid Tools in the Knowledge Base. And maybe give ThomThom's Solid Inspector2 a shot.
I fixed the nut in less than a minute. Try this.

The file is not executable.
Error
"The file is created in a newer version of Sketchup.
You have to version 8.0.3117
You need to version 15.3.331 "I use WindowsVista, the new version Sk8 is not avaible for me.
Please,
you can give me the link of:- Solid Tools in the Knowledge Base
- ThomThom 's Solid Inspector2

Sorry. I'll make a back version copy when I get home from work. do you have SketchUp 8 or SketchUp 2013 as your profile indicates?
My mistake to assume that as an intermediate user you would have already found the knowledge base. Look under the Help menu in SketchUp.
solid Inspector is available through the Sketchucation Plugin Store--look at the top of the window for the link or through the Extension Warehouse at sketchup.com

Sorry.
I have SketchUp8,
I Fixed the specifications in the profile.
I understood, I was able to change the object and use the Tool Subtraction.I would instal the plugins Inspector2
I was not able to find it, in Store Plugins or Sketchup.com for my version SK8 -
Since you're using such an old version of SketchUp, you'll have to use the earlier version of Solid Inspector. Read the page before downloading and installing the plugin. You'll also need TT_Lib2. There's a link on the Solid Inspector page.

Dave
I have downloaded TT_Lib2 and inspectir.zip
In which folder should I put these files ? and how to install the .zip folder please? -
You should be downloading the .rbz versions. Then you can use Install Extension in Window>Preferences>Extensions to install them automatically.
