I was drawing a sword the other day and it came across beutifully untill i got down to the hilt of the thing. I was working on the thing and the best i could do is a solid smooth cylinder. For the life of me i could bot figure out how to carve away what i wanted.

I got to thinking this is a similar concept as to how to draw a screw. Any ideas guys?
