Maker Bench project

We (SketchUp in collaboration with SketchThis) recently launched an open-source design project called Maker Bench http://sketchupdate.blogspot.com/2015/02/ready-set-maker-bench.html, and I’m posting to see if some of you would like to help us evolve the design.
As you can see from our project overview https://www.dropbox.com/s/x9lz4y5qrcy6oxl/Maker%20Bench.pdf?dl=0, we have a decent starting idea of how we’d like the Maker Bench to work, but we’d love your input on the project. We’re hosting an design discussion http://forums.sketchup.com/t/open-maker-bench-challenge/7066 on the SketchUp forum that we hope you’ll join. You can submit an idea for the bench or a module, or even download our base models and mess around for yourself.
Our goal is to move on from conceptual design to as-built model by mid-April, and then build a few prototypes for Maker Faire Bay Area (May 16-17).I hope you’ll take a few minutes and have a closer look at this Maker Bench project.
