Polygon material problem after adding on the object
-
Hello all!
That's my first post and my English isn't very good but i hope all of you can understand what's the problem. Let's go back to the topic. When I'm adding a fabric material to the cushion or just leather material to the armchairs or sofa it makes bad results on render, on edges mostly. Material on the edges of the objects are expanded and looks weird. The next problem is the material applied on organic surface looks like triangles which are going to the wrong direction in this part. I was trying Position Texture and drop and put the material on the all surface with off Hidden Geometry but results are bad. What can I do to fix this problem. I need realistic look of this material on the objects. I greet you and I'm waiting for you response.

In vanilla sketchup:
-You can create a face in the correct orientation, texture that, set the texture to "projected", and use the texture from that to paint your modelwith plugins:
-Pixero's UV Projection plugin might help you out here, it will speed up the approach I described for vanilla
-Marginal's UV editor could also work nicely, albeit with a little more effort
-I haven't used ThomThom's UV toolkit, but I believe it could present a solution of some description
