Double Line From Single Line
-
Hey,
is there a way to get a double line from a single line, e.g. for window seperation?
If you have only some divided faces you could use offset or multi-face offset.I'd like to have two lines (maybe set distance in advance) generated from one line which if possible which overlapping part is cut off at the next intersection and the former line is removed...

There was a same question sometime ago, and the answer is no, there is nothing like that yet, in the plugins list.

Didier's Double line tool will do it for you.

Thanks, I'll check that.
Came across Didiers double line tool during research but thought it would be something like a wall tool.. Should have looked closer!

In some case TIG 2D Tools can help you!
Copy first the segment by + CTRL
Then Call the Plug et voilà! -
Is this what you want? I use it daily and assigned it Shift+D as a shortcut. For me it's the plugin that made me the jump from 2D design with CAD to Sketchup...
Edgetools2 Divide Faces by Thomthom
Edgetools 2 Inspect tool, by the way, it's also a fundamental plugin for SectionCutFace inspection and 2D DWG/DXF import.
I hope this helps and best regards,
João
