JOINING OFFSET DUCTS
-
On the attached file, I generated a step-by-step process for creating an offset that maintains a proper width. But is there a faster way to accomplish this? Curviloft is faster, but the offset piece is partially squashed.
HOW TO OFFSET DUCTS.skp

How about just drawing a center line for the ducting and using Follow Me for a cross section of the duct? There's no squashing with Follow Me, either.

Here's my idea. Do you think it's valid? It mainly involves moving one face to correct the height of the angled section. You use push pull with option key (Mac) to make breaks at each end of proposed offset (or copy edges from end of duct).

Sometimes we overlook the simplest means. Thank you.
