I have created a dynamic door component and I am trying to align it with the door post. I need to move slightly up and whatever I try it won't move upwards. I try with inference and holding down the Shift key or using the Arrow Up key but nothing works. When I try to move it up it moves away and trying to move it down it moves towards me. I was wondering if there is something with the way I created the dynamics of the component that causes this. Any ideas?

Sounds like you have made it a glue to component.
Right click on it and see if the option UnGlue is in the context menu.

Yes, the Unglue is in the context menu. I clicked it and now I can move it up and down. I have to find out what this Unglue is, never seen it before. Thanks!

But rest assured that this might have nothing to do with the "Dynamics of the component" glued components (and also groups) are created automatically if you draw a closed shape on a surface, without intersecting it's borders and group it or make a component out of it. If you take a moment to look at the component parameters of the "Make Component..." table you'll see it is auto defined as "Glue to Any face"
