      You're welcome.
      There's a plugin floating around that lets you move deadlines, it was written by a nigerian prince and for the right money I can let you have a copy.

        move deadlines means?

          It was a joke, a deadline being the time you have to deliver your finished project.
          Nigerians are notorious internet scam artists usually involving princes and millions of dollars.
          If you send me your bank details I will explain further with a full demonstration.

            The TIG plugin is not working. When I click on component, and use the plugin, nothing happens.

            The chris fullmer plugin brings the geometry of my component to the original "0,0,0 axis" of sketchup. Is that exactly the solution to the problem? I mean, we shift all the geometry to the global origin before starting our actual full fledged work in sketchup ? I have already done a huge amount of work in sketchup. Shifting back the components to the origin is going to make the matter more complicated.

              My TIG.originatecomponentsaxes works by processing all selected component-instances.
              If the selection has no instances in it, then it doesn't do anything.
              It does not work on groups.

              It does work - I justed tested it to make sure... ๐Ÿ˜’

                Sorry, I was trying it on groups. I'll try it on components sir. So, the zoom cutting problem is caused by components only and not groups at all, yes? โ“

                  No the zoom problem is caused by your geometry being far away from origin or you having a big model and trying to zoom close.

                  What those plugins deal with is with components and axis (changing axis is like changing origin).

                  My advice#1:

                  • Move model as close as you can to origin
                  • use a shortcut to camera>perspective.
                  • On perspective zoom out far away from the point you need to zoom in
                  • Use the shortcut and you are on parallel view
                  • Zoom in closer to object;
                  • Use camera to change back to perspective.
                  • With luck your issue might be solved.

                  My advice#2:

                  • If you are working in a group and the geometry disappears change the group to a component;
                  • Make the component's axis closer to geometry
                  • If the issue is not solved export component by rightclicking on it and choosing save as;
                  • Afer this you have a component saved in drive, so open it and work on it without camera issues and save it;
                  • After all work is done you can go back to original model, rightclick on the component and "reload"
                  • The geometry is updated

                    Advice #2 is super awesome! thanks. I have a huge site having an area of 13 hectares. Its linear/longitudinal in nature, I'll post a screen shot from my laptop. I'm currently using phone.

                      Can there be an inspector sort of plugin which analyses and gives warning about problematic axes of components?

                        There is already [sort of]...

                        'Window' >> 'Model Info' >> 'Components' >> ' Component Axes' >> check 'Show...'

                        then you assume the role of the 'Inspector'

                        john

                        learn from the mistakes of others, you may not live long enough to make them all yourself...
