CRASH YOU CANT FIGURE OUT
-
Just my 2 cents for preventing crashes if you have a rather large layout file that has a custom scene
....."you created it from your viewport window and it is not a saved scene from your model"
it took me hours to figure out why any time i tried to relink or update a model reference ....it was that one custom viewport not saved as a sceneany how i just wanted to share that ......if this has been posted or pinned pointed out in here all ready "stop yelling at me"

That is a good tip for folks new to SketchUp. I've found that, while it can be done, it is almost never a good idea to modify a scene in the LO viewport. Many changes that you might make to the SketchUp file will not show in viewports whose scenes are shown as "Modified" in the SketchUp inspector. I've never seen a crash of LO that I could attribute to a modified scene but then I don't get them in my LO projects.
