I just wish my camera acts like its on a tripod and stays at a certain height so that when I walk around or look around or back up etc. the camera stays at the height I want it. Its very annoying and feels like its floating in space. 🤢

Is there a way to solve such issues?

If you use the tool "position camera" you can choose a eye height (VCB). The tools "walk" and "look around" will not change that height.

Have you used the Walkthrough tools? You can position the camera with the tool called Position Camera and enter the eye height at whatever value you want. Then use the Walk tool to move the camera around.

Cotty - moving the eye around definitely alters the eye height, drives me round the bend!

Oddly enough moving your own eye about changes things too, try moving about with the feet.

YEAH, I might have used the middle mouse button, this effects the height - better be more disciplined.

But - there is one issue. Shift and "walk around'' allows you to walk sideways but oddly starts to mess up the eye height again.

Really should be a right click context to fix eye height.

When you have the feet selected you see the available modifier keys at the bottom of the screen. They have their uses. Like moving up the face of a building etc.

Set the eye height at any time simply by typing the value and enter.

The Eye tool is basically looking from your head, so you are able to look up and down as well as side to side. Whereas the feet keep your eyeline level until you change it.
