      Hi,

Is it ok to Group groups?

I've just tried it out and it seems to work fine.

How many sub groups can you create.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Yes, it's ok to do that. I don't know how many levels you can have or if there's even a limit. On the other hand, the more group levels you have, the longer it takes to drill down to the geometry to edit it. Use some thought when creating nested groups or you make your work more difficult.

If you're doing it in order to hide them more quickly, you can always use layers.

You've got a good point. If you wear hat, though... 😆

Using layers to control visibility is better than Hide. Use Hide for temporarily getting things out of the way.

Also, if you haven't done so, give the Outliner a thorough look and think about what it is showing you. Don't make the newbie mistake of making a group, drawing some more edges and faces, selecting them along with the group and making another group.
